I've Been Tagged!

Erin, at Home is Where Your Story Begins, tagged me in this meme. I made sure to make some hot tea before I started. I'm really not that interesting!

Rules of Engagement:
1) Link to the person who tagged you.
2) Post the rules on your blog (copy and paste 1-6).
3) Write 6 random things about yourself (see below).
4) Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them.
5) Let each person know they have been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
6) Let the tagger know when your entry is up.

1. When I was in 5th grade, my dad "encouraged" my mom, siblings, and myself to get our Amateur Radio (Ham Radio) licenses. We passed the Novice test w/Morse code and Tech test. My call sign is N0MOX. A few years ago when our licenses were up for renewal, mine somehow didn't get renewed. Sad.

2. I have lived in 9 houses and 5 states in the past 8 years and 4 months. I wouldn't change this way of life for anything in the world.

3. When I was a senior in high school, we went on a European vacation as a family. We were the Griswolds, and I was Audrey. We backpacked through France, Spain, Italy, and Monaco. The downside? I left my boyfriend (now husband) back in the states, and lost out on most of the trip because I was so sad we were apart. When dialing his college dorm one afternoon from a hostel in Spain, I was connected with a Sprint representative. They said that our calling card had been cancelled due to, "suspicious activity i.e. extremely frequent calls from Europe." My parents never did tell me how much the phone bill was. Good thing they liked my man!

4. I learned to drive on a 1950-something Dodge Power Wagon massive beast. I must have been about 12 or 13 when my dad had my sister and I out driving that thing around. He had us drive from the road, down into the ditch, and back up on the road. The beast had numerous gears, and a very long shifter. He told us, "if you can drive this, you can drive anything." Boy was he right!

5. My husband and I share a passion for missions. Right now, in our situation, we pray that we can spread God's love to young airman and their families. After our children grow, we would love to work in world missions; him, as a pastor and myself, as a nurse.

6. If I had time, I would go to culinary school. I have no desire to work in a restaurant anymore, but would love to cook meals from my home and sell them hot or frozen, with easy preparation after purchased. I have a lot of experience with food, and will maybe pursue something like this in the future.

I tag these 6 ladies because their blogs are so fun to read!

That is so funny! We have so much in common.
1. what does nomox mean? is it a secret?
2. some people are meant to move a lot. I was just telling my husband that this morning! I am made that way, and he isn't. It stinks to be me.
3. fun!! Isn't it funny how we look back and think "why didn't I just enjoy that more?"
4. into the ditch? seriously?
5. incredible calling. I've always wanted to be a nurse too! my girlfriend and I were always goin to go to college together to be nurses. she did. I didn't.
6. omg! ME TOO! I love to cook, and would love to go to school. But, the thing that stops me is that i secretly know I couldn't handle the pressure. :)
