We are...
Teachers: We all come from different walks of life, different states and different countries. If we have an open ear, we will be able to learn so much about other spouses and their traditions, talents, and hobbies.
Nurses: We comfort each other, help fix other kids' "owies" and are there to help heal hurting hearts.
Chefs/Bakers: We cook and bake for work potlucks, playgroups, church events, holiday parties, new mommy meals, shut-ins, deployed spouses, single troops during the holidays, etc.
Psychologists/Counselors: We are there for each other to listen, offer advice, and encourage. There are so many ups and downs living this life, thank goodness we have other spouses to lean on!
Event Planners: With ease, we go from planning an event for 10 to 50 within minutes and still have a smile on our faces. We plan birthday parties, spouse functions, and more.
Family: It is rare to meet a military spouse who lives right next to her family. We have a bond so tight, sometimes tighter than actual blood. We never miss holidays, or birthday parties together. We sometimes know more about each other than our own families do.

The role of a military spouse is multi-faceted. I encourage you all to learn about the spouses around you. Build each other up, listen when they need an ear, and try to refrain from gossip or any unwholesome talk. Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day to the strongest, most special group of women I know!

Hi!
I found your blog from the Wives of Faith blog carnival.
If I had to add to your list, I would say that we are loyal - to our spouse, our friends, and to our country.
Have a wonderful weekend!
"Guess what we're having for supper tonight. Thank you!"
